ABOUT ME

I am a Photographer, Visual Artist & Documentary Filmmaker exploring the space where objects, culture, and storytelling meet. Much of my work begins with familiar products, such as watches, jewellery, beverages, and cosmetics, that I transform into bold, conceptual images conveying meaning beyond their commercial surface. These photographs are less about advertising and more about questioning how objects shape identity, desire, and the human experience.

 

Having lived and worked throughout Asia, I draw inspiration from a diverse range of environments, from bustling urban areas to remote coastlines. This global perspective shapes a practice that is outward-looking yet deeply personal. My academic background supports this approach: I hold a BA (Hons) in Editorial & Advertising Photography from the University of Gloucestershire (First Class) and am currently completing an MA in Documentary Filmmaking with the University of Hertfordshire. These studies continue to inform my understanding of visual communication, narrative, and photographic craft.

 

Every project is built from the ground up: sketching concepts, sourcing materials, shaping light, and experimenting with texture, atmosphere, and composition. The creative process itself, the craft, imperfections, and decisions behind the scenes, are integral to the final image.

 

My documentary photography and filmmaking enable me to explore social and environmental issues and highlight overlooked stories. These two aspects of my work complement each other: studio construction refines my control over lighting, design, and visual structure, while documentary work deepens my connection to place, context, and authenticity. Together, they allow me to create images that feel vibrant, original, and thought-provoking, balancing technical skill, creative experimentation, and cultural insight.
